Arrest turns Chad Johnson's act into a drama

This is too real for Hard Knocks.

Chad Johnson was arrested Saturday, accused of head-butting his newlywed wife, Evelyn Lozada, during an argument in the driveway of their home outside of Miami. He was charged with simple battery, domestic violence, which is a misdemeanor.

CocktailFABness: Rap and the Moscato Boom

Moscato, that sweet, easy-drinking wine perfect for summer, is the fastest growing varietal in the country with sales increasing 70 percent since 2011.

If this kind of growth continues, moscato could blow past sauvignon blanc and white zinfandel to become the sixth-most popular varietal wine.

How did a simple, fizzy, low-alcohol white wine snag the spotlight?

With a little help from Nelly, Ab-Soul, Gucci Mane, and Soulja Boy.

True dat. Rap and hip-hop artists have glommed on to the varietal like hot pants on a fly girl. The trend seems to have started in 2009 with Trey Songz’s “I Invented Sex” featuring Drake: “It's a celebration, clap, clap, bravo/lobster and shrimp and a glass of moscato/for the girl who's a student and her friend who's a model/Finish the whole bottle."

We don’t agree with the pairing, but the drinkability of moscato is undeniable. So many artists have dropped its praises in their rhymes that the wine has been a must-have mixer in hip-hop clubs, prompting the first-ever rap-branded wine, Freaky Muscato, which just celebrated its one-year anniversary. Helmed by Nelly’s St. Louis crew, the St. Lunatics, the peachy, slightly sparkling moscato clocks in at just 11.5 percent alcohol and is made “for those who live freaky and fresh.”

We can’t wait to try P. Diddy Pinot.

What’s your favorite rap reference to Moscato? Do share.

NEW MUSIC: Trey Songz – "Simply Amazing"

Trey Songz continues to gives his fans another free record off of his forthcoming Chapter V album. The "Heart Attack" artist sings about an amazing woman currently in his life (I wonder who that could be). He goes on to proclaim that "she ain't perfect, but she's worth it". Yesterday, Trey released a rather interesting record titled "Dive In", in which he compares the woman he's with for the night to a swimming pool. The track is charged with undertones that even a non-casual listener can pick up on. Off the two records, this one's worthy of a replay (Only when your with your lady FELLAS).

In Case You Missed It: 2012 Billboard Music Awards: Goodie Mob Pay Tribute To Beastie Boys

CeeLo Green along with his reunited Goodie Mob crew took to the stage in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand for their “Fight To Win” performance at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, The performance began with a one-legged dancer in military garb on crutches as he wowed the audience with his jaw-dropping moves. When the wall was lifted the quartet, decked out in all white, performed their inspirational new single "Fight to Win" in which by the way I loved!

Afterwards,  the crew keeping the “fight” theme performed a hype cover of the Beastie Boys‘ breakthrough hit “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)” as a tribute to the late Adam Yauch. Literally everyone in the crowd sang along!

It's been a long time coming for "Real Music" to resurface and I am very happy that Goodie Mob is back! Stay tuned for the release of Goodie Mob's reunion project Age Against the Machine, due later this year. And Fight To Win is already available for purchase on iTunes. Rihanna: There's no stopping her...

With a new movie (Battleship) released Friday, the Barbadian beauty shows off her sultry side as she bares all in a hotly anticipated spread for Britain's Esquire magazine.

Protecting her modesty by wrapping one arm around her chest, the singer wears just a pair of jeans and a fez hat in the shots, taken by Melissa Forde.

In another shot, Rihanna wears a sexy bondage-style all-in-one, flicking her blonde hair as she shows off her curves.

The shots were clicked when the singer was in the UK in February. And it seems that some were not pleased with the singers photos expressing their views on where else but twitter. celebrity news site, Celebuzz thought she took it too far with one of her recent sexy looks.

Apparently, a few days ago, Rihanna was spotted heading to dinner in a crème crotched ensemble that showed off her midriff and some leg, nothing too outside of the usual Ri Ri get up, but Celebuzz thought otherwise and suggested it may be time for her to "class it up." They tweeted the star.

And in true Rihanna fashion, she responded with a "rated R" response, tweeting back:

Rihanna has been showing a lot of skin lately, but If you got it why not flaunt it, right? So what do you think was more risqué, Rihanna’s dress or her response?

The pictures, and interview is in the July issue of Esquire - out on June 4th - and if these are just the out-takes, we can only imagine what the actual shoot looks like so be sure to check it out...

Donna Summer: A nonsmoker dies from lung cancer

She may have been the Queen of Disco, but Donna Summer wasn't one to light up a cigarette.
On Friday, one day after the Grammy-winning singer's death at age 63, her family confirmed that she succumbed to lung cancer, as was rumored. But, defying common misconceptions about the disease, her loved ones explain that the "Last Dance" singer's cancer "was not related to smoking."

"Ms. Summer was a non-smoker," the new family statement says of the chart-topping "Last Dance" crooner. "Obviously, numerous factors can be attributed to the cause of cancer in general, but any details regarding the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of Ms. Summer's case remain between her family and team of doctors."
Summer is survived by husband of 32 years Bruce Sudano, their daughters Brooklyn, 31, and Amanda, 29, plus Mimi, her eldest daughter from her first husband, actor Helmut Sommer.

A private memorial will be held for Summer in Nashville, Tenn. -- where the star moved in the mid-1990s -- Wednesday May 30.
"While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy," the family said in an earlier Thursday statement.

I salute you Ms. Summer you lived, you loved and you were truly "The Disco Diva"... Now dance on in heaven!

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!!!

Cinco de Mayo is a national holiday in Mexico, but it is also widely celebrated by Mexican-Americans in the United States. The holiday, which in Spanish means the “Fifth of May,” commemorates the Battle of Puebla, when Mexican patriots stopped a French invasion. It often is  confused with Mexico’s Independence Day, which is Sept. 16. The Battle of Puebla victory was significant in that the smaller, less well-equipped army toppled the bigger, stronger one.

Houston's East End will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with its first East End Street Fest. The festival features live music, dancing, a petting zoo and an art car display. More than 50 vendors will provide food and drinks, while local taco trucks will be competing for the title of Houston's Best Taco. The festival runs today from noon until 8pm along Harrisburg Blvd near Lockwood on the property behind the CVS.

Target withdraws offensive card mocking Whitney Houston's marriage to Bobby Brown

Her premature death at the age of 48 shocked America. And now a U.S. supermarket has been forced to pull a greetings card from the shelves that poked fun Whitney Houston's relationship with her ex-husband Bobby Brown after a public outcry. Target offended their customer's by stocking the light-hearted product, which read: "Next time you think of dating the bad boy consider Whitney Houston."

The retail giant decided to pull the card after receiving angry complaints from customers.

The representative added: "As soon as this was brought to our attention, we began the process of removing the card from all applicable stores." A company spokesman insisted it had been available long before the I Will Always Love You singer's body was discovered on February. 11 in the bathtub of a Beverly Hills hotel room. "It is never our intent to offend guests with the products we offer, and we take feedback from guests very seriously." Whitney and former New Edition member Bobby were married for nearly five years before divorcing in 2007, and he has been blamed by many for getting the singer involved in drugs.

Warren Moon's ex-wife faces lewdness charge

The ex-wife of Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon was arrested Feb. 20 on charges of public lewdness after she and a man were caught having sex in a field behind Prairie View A&M University’s stadium.

“Individuals pointing at a male and female alerted the officer (and he) subsequently observed the male and female engaged in a lewd sexual act,” Prairie View Police Chief Jason Barrett told Houston CBS affiliate KHOU.

Felicia Moon, 55, and the man she was with, James Thomas, 50, were allegedly caught engaging in a sex act. Organizers at the camp said police didn’t tell them right away, and they had no idea what happened until Tuesday.

The trail-riders make a trek from Prairie View to Memorial Park every year, a few days before the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Thomas has been a trail-rider for several years, organizers said.
On Tuesday night, the camp was set up near Hawkley. The trail boss said she didn’t think what Moon and Thomas were accused of doing was a big deal.

"Well, they were out on the field, so whatever," said Nannie Francies. "I don’t see it as big deal. When people go out on the trial, people tend to do what they want to do."

Still, organizers said they hope the arrest doesn’t overshadow the positive things the trial-riders do, like preserving history and supporting local universities.

Felicia and Warren Moon were married for 21 years before the relationship went south in 1996 after she accused him of assaulting her. She dropped the charges and eventually filed for divorce in 2001.

Felicia Moon has worked as a freelance writer and opened a Christian book store in 2002.

Whitney Houston Casket Photo Fallout

The National Enquirer cover (in which we have digitally altered) has sparked strong reaction.
The National Enquirer calls its cover photo of Whitney Houston lying in her casket "beautiful."
But plenty of critics beg to differ and the funeral home that took care of arrangements for the late pop icon is hoping to get out of the line of fire as soon as possible.
"We have no comment—but it was not the funeral home," a spokeswoman for the Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, N.J., told E! News. "[The media] are getting me in the middle. I am very angry, very upset, just like the family, just like the fans" are about the photo.
"We don't like it because it implicates us," she added. "Whitney was a personal friend to me and my family. We would not do that."
Who would, then?
"I thought it was beautiful," Enquirer publisher Mary Beth Wright told FoxNews.com of the photograph, which went up with the headline, "Whitney: The Last Photo!" She, of course, did not disclose where they got it from.
Wright's remarks, however, were in defense of all the bashing the Enquirer took for running the picture—but the tabloid wasn't the sole target of people's animosity.
"Don't hate the National Enquirer for publishing Whitney Houston casket photo, hate on the family member/friend who sold it,"tweeted Dan Gross, a columnist for the Philadelphia Daily News. " I said family or friend," he further clarified. It was someone who was at the very intimate viewing, or someone who worked there."
"I hope they find out who sold that photo of Whitney Houston. I want to know what the dregs of society looks like,"tweeted @afrobella. "What an awful thing to do."
Added @deartupac: "So ppl really scooped this low by selling Whitney Houston dead in her coffin photo shame on you, she can't even rest in peace."
Pinning the blame back on the Enquirer, @TWyse wrote, "I HATE the for posting a picture of Whitney Houston's open [casket]... They need to be put out of business.

Tell us what you think FABones...
